Armenian Judges' Offices Searched in Bribery Investigation

Searches have been conducted in the apartments and offices of representatives of the judiciary as part of a criminal proceeding initiated on the fact of receiving a bribe in particularly large amounts.

The Anti-Corruption Committee reported this in response to a media inquiry. According to the Committee, a group of individuals, including a lawyer, has been arrested. "In the interest of the preliminary investigation, we cannot provide any other information at this time," the ACC noted.

Several media outlets had earlier reported that investigative actions were being carried out in the offices of Administrative Court judges Ani Chilingaryan, Mher Petrosyan, and Argishti Ghazaryan.
