Samvel Karapetyan Calls for State Support to Boost Birth Rate

Protection of spiritual values, formation of a new economy, rapid creation of numerous jobs, dynamic development of agriculture, etc. Samvel Karapetyan spoke about the priorities of the movement he initiated in his latest message from the penitentiary.

He noted that special attention will be paid to promoting large families.

"Unfortunately, in today's Armenia, the number of such families is extremely small, the demographic indicators are catastrophic, and we must do everything possible to get out of this dangerous situation. First, our young families must be healthy and have the opportunity to monitor both their reproductive health and their health in general without bankrupting the family budget. The state must and is obliged to provide this opportunity without any reservations. The state must and is obliged, together with the parents, to bear the costs of every Armenian child born, which will seriously stimulate the birth rate," wrote Karapetyan, noting that comprehensive programs are also planned for the care of the elderly and the preservation of their health.
