Russia Says Iskander Missile Destroyed Two ATACMS Launchers

According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the crew of the Russian armed forces' "Iskander-M" operational-tactical missile system delivered a successful counter-strike, destroying two launchers with which Ukrainian forces had previously fired long-range ATACMS missiles of American production towards the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the military department had reported that for the first time since January of this year, the Ukrainian armed forces had attempted to attack the civilian infrastructure of the Voronezh region, using four long-range ATACMS-type missiles of American production. Russian air defense forces, specifically the combat crews of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems and the "Pantsir" anti-aircraft missile systems, timely detected and destroyed all air targets, preventing them from reaching their destinations.
Thanks to the effective work of the air defense systems, it was possible to avoid casualties and injuries, Russian official sources report. However, as a result of the falling debris of the downed missiles, a number of civilian objects suffered partial damage. Specifically, the roofs of the Voronezh regional boarding center for the elderly, an orphanage, as well as a private house were damaged.
In response to the attack by the Ukrainian side, the Russian military carried out reconnaissance operations, as a result of which they managed to determine the exact location of the missile launch in the Kharkiv region. After detecting the target, a strike was delivered in that direction using the "Iskander-M" missile system. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, as a result of the retaliatory strike, two "MLRS" multiple launch rocket systems, their ammunition depot, and combat crews were completely destroyed.
