Russia Points Out EAEU-EU Legal Inconsistencies to Armenia

The Russian side has shown its Armenian partners the significant inconsistencies in the legal framework of the EAEU and the EU. Maxim Seleznyov, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Russian Federation in Armenia, told News.am about this, referring to the Yerevan negotiations of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Overchuk.

The diplomat said that the parties discussed a wide range of trade and economic cooperation, including interaction within the EAEU. The Russian side proposed that Armenian producers make wider use of integration mechanisms to speed up the entry of Armenian goods into the Russian market.

Special attention was also paid to the preparatory work for the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, which is scheduled for the end of this year in Armenia.
