Russia Hits Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia in Massive Attack

On the morning of September 28, Russian forces carried out another massive attack on a number of Ukrainian cities, targeting civilian objects and residential buildings. As a result of the strikes, Zaporizhzhia, the city of Kyiv, and the Kyiv region suffered significant damage, where dozens of people were injured, including children.

In Zaporizhzhia, the morning attack damaged an industrial enterprise, a multi-story residential building, 9 private houses, 14 apartment buildings, and a gas station. According to city authorities, the number of injured has reached 21, including three children. It is noted that two of the wounded are in serious condition.

The capital, Kyiv, also came under a large-scale assault. Numerous destructions were recorded in different districts of the city. In the Solomenskyi district, a five-story residential building partially collapsed, and in the Darnytskyi district, missile fragments fell on the territory of a kindergarten. The strike caused a fire in a state medical institution, the Heart Institute, where two people died.

According to Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv military administration, the total number of victims in the capital has reached four, including the body of a 12-year-old girl pulled from the rubble. The number of wounded, according to preliminary data, is 13 people, four of whom have been hospitalized.

There are also casualties and destruction in the Kyiv region. In the Fastivskyi district, a bread factory was hit, injuring five employees, and a fire broke out on the enterprise's premises. In the Bilotserkivskyi district, the roof of a nine-story residential building caught fire, and five cars were damaged. In addition, the attack damaged infrastructure in a recreational area in the city of Ochakiv, where fires also broke out.

Ukrainian sources continue to clarify the final number of dead and wounded. In parallel, rescue services are working at the scenes to eliminate the consequences of the attacks.
