Russia Launches Massive Missile, Drone Attack on Ukraine

The Russian armed forces have carried out a powerful combined attack on various regions of Ukraine, primarily targeting energy infrastructure. "Kalibr" type cruise missiles, "Kinzhal" hypersonic missiles, and "Shahed" type unmanned aerial vehicles were used for the strikes. Explosions were heard in the Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa, Kyiv, Dnipro, and Mykolaiv regions.
In Ternopil, according to preliminary data, two people were killed. According to Mayor Serhiy Nadal, several residential buildings were damaged, and rescue operations are being carried out at the scene.
In Kharkiv, 46 people were injured as a result of a drone attack, including two girls aged 9 and 13. According to the head of the regional military administration, Oleh Syniehubov, numerous objects of civilian infrastructure were damaged and destroyed: 16 apartment buildings, 31 cars, a school, an ambulance substation, a supermarket, two trolleybuses, and administrative buildings.
In Ivano-Frankivsk, energy facilities were targeted. According to the head of the regional military administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk, there are three casualties, two of whom are children. One private house was also damaged.
The main target was the energy system of the western part of Ukraine. Most of the missiles and drones were directed at the Lviv, Ternopil, and Khmelnytskyi regions. The Ministry of Energy reported that as a result of the attack, they were forced to apply emergency power outages in a number of regions to maintain the stability of the system.
