Russia Toughens Stance on Cyber Fraud with New Bill

A new package of measures to combat cyber fraud has been introduced in Russia. According to the new bill, the number of bank cards for RF citizens will be limited to no more than 10.

The extent of the responsibility of communication operators is being increased. They will be obliged to compensate clients for damages if funds are stolen as a result of their inaction.

Full information about consents for the processing of personal data, provided both online and offline, will be available on the "Gosuslugi" portal.

Phishing sites will be blocked promptly, without the need for a court decision.
