As a result of the strikes, there are numerous injuries among the civilian population, including children.
The most severe consequences were recorded in Zaporizhzhia, where Russian forces struck the city with about 20 drones and at least 8 missiles. The victims were diagnosed with acute stress reaction, lacerations, contusions, bruises, and fractures. Rescuers have confirmed that another person is under the rubble, and search operations are ongoing.
A tense situation also developed in the city of Ladyzhyn in the Vinnytsia region, which was left without heat and water supply as a result of the night attack. City authorities are trying to provide an alternative heating system, and residents of the most affected buildings are being evacuated. As a result of the strike in the region, four adults and a 7-year-old girl were injured; her condition is assessed as serious. In the city of Boryspil in the Kyiv region, a 36-year-old woman was injured, a private house was burned down, and apartment buildings and cars were damaged.
Strikes were also carried out on the western regions of Ukraine. In the Lviv region, the Dobrotvir Thermal Power Plant was targeted, where a fire broke out. In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, a critical infrastructure facility was subjected to a massive strike. Due to the attacks on energy infrastructure, "Ukrzaliznytsia" reported delays for a number of trains. The "DTEK" company confirmed that this is the third massive attack on its thermal power plants during the month of October.
