Ruling Party School Principal Arrested in Vagharshapat

Anush Hambardzumyan, the director of the Geghakert school in the Vagharshapat community and a member of the "Civil Contract" party, has been arrested. This was reported by ArmeniaSputnik, citing its sources.

"A criminal proceeding has been initiated regarding a case of violating the ban on charity. Within the framework of the criminal proceeding, one person has been arrested, and a motion to apply detention as a measure of restraint has been submitted to the court," the Anti-Corruption Committee told the source.

As a reminder, on October 21, a charity event took place in one of the villages of the Vagharshapat community with the participation of several candidates from the "Civil Contract" party. During the event, valuable gifts were given to many residents of the community. Among those handing out the gifts was also a candidate for the council of elders from the "Civil Contract" party.
