Romania Offers Its Military Bases for Ukraine's Security

Romania is ready to provide its military bases within the framework of security guarantees for Ukraine. This was announced by Prime Minister Boloșan.
He emphasized that Romania will not send troops to Ukrainian territory but is ready to provide its military bases for the needs of allies, including the USA. According to him, air patrols are already being carried out from Romanian airports, and joint exercises with NATO are being held there.
"Given Romania's membership in NATO, our military bases, which continue to be jointly used by our forces and NATO air forces, can be used by NATO troops, US troops, and other allies... This could be, let's say, Romania's contribution to providing support for ensuring a stable peace in Ukraine," Boloșan added.
Earlier, The Times wrote that the EU is calling on Trump to deploy F-35 fighter jets at a NATO base in Romania as part of the security guarantees for Ukraine.
