Mandatory to be aware of: There are changes in the conditions for entering the Russian Federation.

From June 30, 2025, to June 30, 2026, an experimental entry and exit procedure for foreign citizens and stateless persons will be introduced at all state border checkpoints of the Russian Federation.

According to the established rules, foreign citizens and stateless persons who plan to enter the RF in a visa-free manner must, prior to such entry, undergo a registration procedure in the Unified Identification System and, no later than 72 hours before the planned entry into the Russian Federation (in emergency cases, no later than 4 hours before), submit an electronic application for entry into the Russian Federation via the "ruID" mobile application.

This procedure is mandatory for foreign citizens crossing the RF state border under a visa-free regime, with the exception of citizens of the Republic of Belarus, holders of diplomatic and service passports, foreign citizens, and stateless persons under 6 years of age.
