Putin: "Bad Page" with Azerbaijan is Turned

Russian President Vladimir Putin has made a number of important statements, addressing both the current state of Russian-Azerbaijani relations and the role of US President Donald Trump in resolving international conflicts.
Speaking about relations with Azerbaijan, Putin stated that the "bad page" between the two countries "has been turned." He noted that he does not consider that there "was any crisis in interstate relations" between Russia and Azerbaijan. Instead, the Russian leader described the situation as a "crisis of emotions," emphasizing that "emotions should not interfere with work." He expressed hope that the negative phase in the relations of the two countries is in the past.
Referring to the crash of the AZAL plane, Putin noted that the situation is generally clear, with only "details and nuances" remaining. According to him, the mood for the development of relations with Russia in Azerbaijan "is of a fundamental nature," which creates a basis for further constructive cooperation.
In addition to regional relations, the Russian leader also touched upon the activities of US President Donald Trump and the discussions surrounding the Nobel Peace Prize. "I don't know whether Donald Trump deserves the Nobel Prize or not, but he does a lot to resolve crises that have been going on for decades," Putin stated, stressing that if Trump's efforts are crowned with success in Gaza as well, it will be a historic success. At the same time, he criticized the Nobel Committee's past decisions: "There have been cases when the Committee has awarded the prize to people who have done nothing for peace."
