Russian President Vladimir Putin will have a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in China. This was reported by the aide to the Russian President, Yuri Ushakov. A meeting with the President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, will also take place.
"A conversation with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is planned. The leaders are in constant contact, they talk a lot on the phone... This will be the first meeting this year in China. After his Turkish counterpart, it will be the turn of the President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian," said Ushakov.
Putin will visit China from August 31 to September 3. Within the framework of the visit, the president will participate in the SCO summit, which will take place in the Chinese city of Tianjin from August 31 to September 1.
In addition to the two mentioned, the RF President will have other meetings as well. According to Russian sources, Putin is planning about a dozen meetings during this period.
Incidentally, some Armenian media outlets are also writing about the possibility of a Pashinyan-Putin meeting. This information has been neither officially confirmed nor denied.
