Prosecutor Demands 4 Billion Drams from Serzh Sargsyan

In the court hearing on Serzh Sargsyan's case held on September 2, the prosecutor demanded that the court confiscate about 4 billion drams in favor of the state. The prosecuting party also petitioned the judge to take measures to secure the property claim.

According to the indictment, Serzh Sargsyan, from May 20, 2000, to April 4, 2007, while holding the position of the RA Minister of Defense, was involved in the illegal alienation of land plots adjacent to Isakov Avenue and the "Yerablur" military pantheon, which were on the ministry's balance sheet and entrusted to him by virtue of his office.
