Police on High Alert for Vagharshapat Local Elections

To ensure the normal course of the local self-government elections to be held in the Vagharshapat community on November 16, by the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan, the directions and toolkit of the work of the department and subordinate services have been defined. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

On November 9, the final lists of voters were posted on the websites of the Ministry and the Central Electoral Commission. A mobile service will operate in Vagharshapat, which will provide certificates to those for whom it will be difficult to approach the territorial subdivision.

The police operational management center will conduct online monitoring of polling stations around the clock in order to respond promptly if necessary. In the community, the police will serve in an enhanced mode, maintaining public order and security; polling stations will be taken under protection.
