Podcast Hosts Narek Samsonyan, Vazgen Saghatelyan Arrested

On the morning of November 13, masked individuals entered the homes of Narek Samsonyan and Vazgen Saghatelyan, co-hosts of the "Imnemnimi" program. Lawyer Ruben Melikyan was the first to report this, immediately heading to the scene.

From near Narek Samsonyan's apartment, Melikyan reported that law enforcement officers were obstructing his professional activities, not allowing him to enter the apartment where investigative actions were taking place.

"They are doing some actions inside, but they are blocking my entry, meaning they are obstructing the lawyer's work," he said.

Later, the lawyer informed that Narek Samsonyan had been arrested and taken to the Investigative Committee. "Narek Samsonyan was arrested and taken to the investigative [department]. Probably the same for Vazgen. The fabricated article is the good old hooliganism," Melikyan wrote.

The spokesperson of the RA Investigative Committee confirmed in a conversation with Sputnik Armenia that a criminal proceeding has been initiated, within the framework of which urgent investigative actions are being carried out.

According to "Azatutyun" radio station, the investigator informed the lawyer that Samsonyan is accused of hooliganism. The reason for the criminal prosecution was the November 10 episode of the "Imnemnimi" podcast, in which Narek Samsonyan and Vazgen Saghatelyan voiced their assessments of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan.
