The Pentagon has signed a $5 billion contract with Raytheon for the supply of "Coyote" unmanned aerial vehicles. According to the document, funds are allocated for the production of missile launch systems, drones, and radar stations. The exact volumes are not specified. The contract is scheduled for completion by September 2033.
In August, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth announced that he had instructed the US military to create an interagency working group to develop anti-drone warfare methods. He noted that Washington hopes to "get ahead of Russia and China." Trump has repeatedly stated that the American military is studying the experience of using drones during combat operations in Ukraine.
