Pashinyan: We Broke Armenia's "Thousand-Year Curse"

"There has never been this volume of construction in Armenia, but we are accused of destroying. Why? Because we have broken the thousand-year curse attached to Armenia, which did not allow us to have a truly independent, truly sovereign state. We have broken that curse," Nikol Pashinyan announced at the "Civil Contract" party congress, referring to, in his words, the model of patriotism inherited from the Soviet years.

He emphasized that the members of the "Civil Contract" party have played a great role on this path, also being subjected to numerous pressures.

"Being a member of the 'Civil Contract' party, the party is a party of doing the impossible, and together we have done and are doing the impossible, and now the Republic of Armenia is standing and flourishing as a free, sovereign, and peaceful state," said Pashinyan.
