Pashinyan Reviews Preparations at COP17 Venue in Yerevan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the "Meridian" expo center, where the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), to be held in Armenia in 2026, is planned to take place. This is reported by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

During the tour, the Prime Minister was acquainted with the conditions and technical capabilities of the center.

Nikol Pashinyan was presented with the work aimed at ensuring the accessibility and compliance of infrastructure and services, the building, design, and engineering-technical capabilities of the center, as well as professional proposals regarding the formation of the necessary infrastructure for holding the conference.

Various proposals regarding the effective organization of COP17 and ensuring interdepartmental cooperation were discussed.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of organizing and holding COP17 at a high level, stressing that it is another good opportunity to present Armenia to the international community with its economic and cultural opportunities. Nikol Pashinyan gave specific instructions to the responsible officials, and consultations on the progress of their implementation will be held regularly.
