Pashinyan Receives New UK Ambassador to Armenia

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Armenia, Alexandra Pamela Cowley.**

The Prime Minister congratulated the Ambassador on assuming her post and wished her success for the consistent development of relations between Armenia and the United Kingdom.

The Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia reports that the interlocutors discussed issues related to the promotion of trade and economic ties, the advancement of democratic reforms in Armenia, as well as the deepening of cooperation in other directions. At the same time, the parties emphasized the importance of raising bilateral relations from a strategic dialogue to the level of a strategic partnership.

Reference was made to the steps aimed at normalizing relations and establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as unblocking regional communication routes.
