Pashinyan Receives Archbishop Shahan Sarkissian

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Archbishop Shahan Sarkissian. On behalf of Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia, the Archbishop presented Prime Minister Pashinyan with a volume published on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Aram I's enthronement.

The Archbishop also conveyed the warm greetings and blessings of Catholicos Aram I to Prime Minister Pashinyan. The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the gift of the volume and noted that it was a great honor for him to receive it. Nikol Pashinyan also asked to convey his warm greetings and best wishes to Catholicos Aram I.

Archbishop Shahan Sarkissian noted that they also cooperate effectively with the directorate of the Matenadaran and welcomed the fact that the Government of the Republic of Armenia donated the theological and manuscript work "Commentary on the Seven Catholic Epistles" by Sarkis Shnorhali, which has exceptional value, to the Matenadaran. According to the Archbishop, this step by the Government was also highly appreciated by His Holiness Aram I.

At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the activities of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia, in the context of the events taking place in the Middle East, and the situation related to the Armenian communities in Lebanon and Syria.
