In Dushanbe, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan had a private conversation with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
The latter welcomed the RA Prime Minister's visit and noted that today's meeting is a good opportunity to discuss agenda items aimed at the further development of bilateral relations.
Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality, adding that the RA Government values the expansion and deepening of multi-sectoral ties with Tajikistan.
The interlocutors exchanged thoughts on further steps to give new impetus to trade and economic relations.
Reference was made to the opportunities created as a result of the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the strengthening of the atmosphere of cooperation in the region, the implementation of the TRIPP project and the "Crossroads of Peace."
Emomali Rahmon welcomed the initialing of the peace agreement as a result of the Washington meeting and expressed his country's support for the process of normalizing Armenia-Azerbaijan relations.
