Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Elina Valtonen.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of effective cooperation with the OSCE, noting that an active dialogue has been formed over the past years. Nikol Pashinyan stressed the need to strengthen the OSCE's role in ensuring security and stability in the organization's area of responsibility.
Elina Valtonen congratulated on the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, expressing confidence that it will significantly contribute to building a stable future for Armenia and developing cooperation in the region.
The interlocutors touched upon issues related to the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the continuation of the border delimitation process, and regional processes.
Thoughts were exchanged on the development of RA-European Union relations. Prime Minister Pashinyan highlighted the EU's consistent support for the effective implementation of institutional reforms in our country and stressed that the introduction of EU standards in various fields is a priority for the RA Government. In this context, issues related to reforms in the fight against corruption, the development of civil society, the improvement of the business environment, and other directions were discussed.
Nikol Pashinyan and Elina Valtonen also touched upon issues related to the further development of relations between Armenia and Finland. In particular, they exchanged thoughts on the possibilities of promoting business ties and attracting investments. The parties emphasized the need to organize high-level mutual visits.
