Pashinyan Meets EU Human Rights Representative in Paris

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with the European Union's Special Representative for Human Rights, Kajsa Ollongren, in Paris. As reported by the Prime Minister's Office, during the meeting, issues related to the progress of reforms initiated by the Armenian Government in the areas of human rights protection, strengthening democratic institutions, and ensuring the rule of law, as well as the cooperation agenda in this direction, were discussed.

Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized that the protection of human rights and the continuity of democratic reforms are among the priorities of the Armenian Government. At the same time, the Prime Minister stressed that for the RA Government, democracy is not a choice, but a strategy.

Kajsa Ollongren, in turn, highly praised the efforts of the Armenian Government towards the establishment of democratic institutions and reforms aimed at protecting human rights, emphasizing the EU's readiness to continue close cooperation.
