Pashinyan: Karabakh People Should Become Proud Armenian Citizens

The people of Karabakh should replace their refugee status with the proud citizenship of the Republic of Armenia, said Nikol Pashinyan at the 7th congress of the "Civil Contract" party. "Today, by saying the people of Armenia, I equally mean our people of Karabakh, who, despite all attempts, despite the indescribable tragedy, were not drawn into anti-Armenian, anti-state agendas," said Pashinyan.

Earlier, he had spoken about his own statement "Artsakh is Armenia, and that's it." "I made that statement for one simple reason, for the reason of patriotism, because I was a patriot," said Nikol Pashinyan.

"A question arises: am I not a patriot now? Of course, I am a patriot, but am I more or less of a patriot? Neither more, nor less, I am just as much a patriot, and in 2019 I was a patriot according to the only model of patriotism that existed in Armenia at that time."
