A regular session of the Anti-Corruption Policy Council was held, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, reports the Government's press service.
"Issues related to the legislative and practical problems of party financing, the grounds for targeted financing provided to parties, accountability measures within the framework of control over the financial activities of parties, etc., were addressed.
Within the framework of the second agenda item, the performance evaluation criteria and the recorded progress in the 5th round of the OECD evaluation were presented in the areas of anti-corruption policy, conflict of interest and declaration, whistleblower protection, business integrity, judicial independence, prosecutorial independence, anti-corruption bodies, and the investigation of corruption crimes. A report was also made on the work being done on the commitments within the framework of the 5th round of GRECO's evaluation of Armenia.
Regarding the reports, the council members presented their observations on the proposed solutions, and an exchange of views took place on the procedures for fulfilling the commitments.
In conclusion, Prime Minister Pashinyan instructed to continue the work on the issues raised during the reports and to present concrete proposals at the next session," the statement said.
