Pashinyan, Bulgarian Deputy PM Discuss Economic Ties

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Atanas Zairov.
The Prime Minister welcomed the visit to Armenia and noted that the high-level political and cultural relations between the two countries should be the basis for the development and deepening of economic cooperation. Nikol Pashinyan expressed hope that as a result of Mr. Zairov's visit, more active work will be carried out in that direction.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria thanked for the warm reception and congratulated on the occasion of the RA Independence Day. Atanas Zairov emphasized the fact of the centuries-old ties between the two countries and peoples and added that his country attaches importance to the expansion of trade and economic relations with the RA.
In this regard, the interlocutors noted the need to hold business forums and to take steps aimed at promoting cooperation in various branches of the economy.
Views were also exchanged on the Armenia-European Union cooperation, as well as on other issues of regional importance. The Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria welcomed the declaration signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8 and the establishment of peace.
