The prestigious "Silk Road" international forum will be held in Tbilisi on October 22-23, in which, according to organizers, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov will also participate. This is reported by Georgian sources. The solemn opening ceremony of the forum will be chaired by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
The forum, being held for the fifth time, promises to be unprecedentedly representative. It is expected that about two thousand delegates from various countries around the world will participate in the event. Among them will be high-ranking politicians, heads of international organizations and financial institutions, representatives of leading global companies, and experts.
The main theme of the forum's agenda will be "Investing in Sustainability." During the discussions, participants will address the development of global trade, transport, and logistics, the prospects of the "Middle Corridor," as well as current challenges in the energy, digital transformation, and other sectors.
It is noteworthy that the Tbilisi "Silk Road" Forum, which was first held in 2015 and is organized every two years, is gradually turning into an important platform for contacts between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Nikol Pashinyan and Ali Asadov also participated in the forum in 2023. At that time, a trilateral meeting took place between them with the mediation of former Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, which also generates great interest in this year's forum from the perspective of possible new contacts.
Official sources have not yet confirmed the information about the Armenian Prime Minister's participation in the "Silk Road" Forum.
