Pashinyan: Armenia to Open Rail Route to Black Sea for Iran

One of our main agreements with Azerbaijan concerns the unblocking of communications in the region. Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a joint statement with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

In practice, this will open new doors for railway cooperation between Armenia and Iran, including along the Nakhichevan-Julfa railway line, which will mean Iran's railway access to Armenia and, ultimately, to the Black Sea.
