Pashinyan Discusses Academic City Project with AIIB President

Within the framework of his working visit to Beijing, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan had a meeting with the President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Jin Liqun.

Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that Armenia's membership in the organization opens up new prospects for the implementation of investment projects.

The parties emphasized that the cooperation will contribute to the implementation of projects in the field of infrastructure development.

During the meeting, possible directions for joint work were discussed, including programs for the development of transport, energy, and communication infrastructures.

Prime Minister Pashinyayan referred to the Academic City project, emphasizing the possible involvement of the AIIB as an investor.

AIIB President Jin Liqun, in turn, stressed that the bank is ready to support the development of Armenia's economic and scientific-educational spheres by investing in programs that will contribute to the country's long-term growth and the deepening of regional ties.

The parties agreed to continue work aimed at the development and implementation of specific investment projects.
