Parakar Community Head, Police Officer Killed in Shooting

On September 23, at 23:52, a call was received that shots had been fired on the Yerevan highway in the Merdzavan settlement of Armavir province, the MIA reports.

According to preliminary data, there are 2 dead and 1 injured. One of the deceased is the head of the Parakar community, Valodya Grigoryan.

MIA spokesperson Narek Sargsyan told News.am that a police officer, who was a friend of Parakar community head Valodya Grigoryan, was also killed as a result of the shooting. He was not on duty at the time of the incident.

Police officers of the MIA are taking measures to clarify all the circumstances of the case.
