Parakar Community Elects Onik Akhverdyan as New Head

After the death of the head of the Parakar enlarged community, Volodya Grigoryan, the Parakar council elected a new community head at an extraordinary session on October 7.

The only candidate was Onik Akhverdyan, representing the "Unity" alliance. The 3 factions of the Parakar council did not nominate a candidate.

The council session began with a minute of silence in memory of the murdered community head, Volodya Grigoryan.
