Gevorg Papoyan met with the UN tourism representative

The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, received on August 22 the newly elected Secretary-General of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Sheikha Al Noyisi.

The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Armenia, Nariman Al-Mulla, and the President of the Tourism Committee of the RA ME, Lusine Gevorgyan. The Ministry of Economy of the RA has released a statement about this.

Gevorg Papoyan expressed hope that during Sheikha Al Noyisi's tenure, cooperation in the tourism sector will continue to expand and strengthen.

During the meeting, the prospects for the development of the tourism sector in Armenia and the possibilities of implementing joint initiatives were discussed.
