Papikyan Highlights Conscription Reforms, Reserve Training

"A legal, transparent, and simplified conscription system is the most reliable way to raise the threshold of public trust in the army," Suren Papikyan stated in Parliament. "The maximum is being done to guarantee the legality of conscription, primarily by relying on mechanisms that exclude legal violations and loopholes."

In parallel, work with the reserve staff is being intensified.

"The 25-day training camps are of great importance to us. I consider the formation of territorial defense troops and the regularity and periodicity of training camps to be an important achievement of these years. I am convinced that the guarantee of any state's defense capability, and also its Achilles' heel, is the existence or absence of a functioning system of reserves, rear support, and the army," Papikyan noted.
