Pakistani Spy Ring Busted in Russia, Citizen Arrested

A Russian citizen who participated in an attempt to export secret documents related to Russian military helicopters and anti-aircraft defense systems has been arrested in St. Petersburg. This is reported by The Economic Times.

Russian authorities have uncovered a spy network run by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). According to the publication, the network's goal was to illegally acquire advanced anti-aircraft defense technologies from Russia.

It is noted that this operation is a continuation of previous attempts by the ISI to gain covert access to Russian military technologies, particularly the S-400 systems. It is noteworthy that the S-400 systems are actively used by the Indian Air Force, which is Pakistan's main geopolitical rival.
