Pakistan Blames India for Devastating Floods

Torrential rains are continuing in Pakistan, and as a result, floods and mudflows as well. More than 1 million people have been evacuated in the east of the country due to the overflowing of three rivers flowing from India. Officials have stated that the flooding has reached catastrophic proportions due to the suspension of the water-sharing treaty by New Delhi and the collapse of dams in India as a result of the floods.

In eastern Pakistan, the waters of the overflowing rivers have reached the outskirts of the country's second-largest city, Lahore. Another major city, Jhang, is under threat. The Indian government has denied that the flooding in Pakistan was intentional. 820 people have fallen victim to the floods in Pakistan.
