Over 1000 kg of Illegal Fish Seized from Lake Sevan in 2025

The "Lurer" program on the First Channel has covered the work being carried out to prevent illegal activities during the period of the ban on industrial fishing of crayfish and whitefish in Lake Sevan.

Davit Galoyan, commander of the water patrol company of the Gegharkunik region battalion of the Patrol Service, spoke about the results of uncovering cases of illegal fishing:

During 2025, about 1063 kg of illegally caught fish were confiscated.

He also touched upon the preventive measures being implemented with the employees of the "Sevan National Park" and the Environmental and Mining Inspectorate.
