"Our Holy Church is Unshakable": Catholicos Garegin II

Our hearts are heavy to see how, by political decision and false accusations, Archbishops Mikayel, Bagrat, Mkrtich, and Samvel Karapetyan have been arrested, said the Catholicos of All Armenians, Garegin II, during Sunday liturgy at the Mother Cathedral.

"Despite the anti-church and condemnable actions carried out by the ruling force, our Holy Church will remain unshakable, strong and faithful with its people, and with the same dedication, it will continue its divine mission, serving the nation and the homeland with hope and grace. Our call is for our faithful children to remain firm in faith and love, not to falter in the face of difficulties and trials. With united efforts, we must strengthen our national spirit, empower our homeland, and keep the holy faith as the unshakable pillar of our people's existence and future," said His Holiness Catholicos Garegin II.

Before that, the spiritual procession moving to the Mother Cathedral, led by the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, was greeted by those gathered near the Mother Cathedral with chants of "Vehabar" (Your Holiness).
