OSCE Decides to Officially Close Minsk Process

The OSCE has made a decision to close the Minsk Process and its related structures.
On September 1, 2025, the OSCE Ministerial Council adopted a decision on the closure of the OSCE Minsk Process and its related structures, APA reports, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
According to the decision, based on the joint letter of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia addressed to the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, within the framework of the meeting between the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia in Washington on August 8, 2025, at the invitation and with the participation of the US President, the activities of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on the conflict dealt with by the OSCE Minsk Conference and the High-Level Planning Group are terminated as of September 1, 2025.
The OSCE Secretariat has been instructed to complete the administrative and technical issues arising from the closure of the aforementioned structures by December 1, 2025.
The decision also declares that all previously adopted decisions within the OSCE framework regarding the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict are invalid and not applicable.
