One Injured in Gavar Apartment Explosion

On October 19, at 06:34, the crisis management center of the Gegharkunik regional rescue department received a report that an explosion had occurred in an apartment in one of the buildings on Mikaelyan Street in the city of Gavar. This is reported by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

Two combat crews from the fire-rescue squad of the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rescue Service, were dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that, according to preliminary data, a gas leak and an explosion occurred in the apartment.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, one citizen was hospitalized in a medical center.

The kitchen partition wall collapsed, the building's cladding tiles were damaged, the windows of several apartments, and a car parked in the yard were damaged.

The rescuers surveyed the area, removed dangerous objects, and cordoned off the area.
