On November 17, the prosecutor, with a confirmed indictment, submitted to the court the materials of the criminal proceedings against G.N. and H.N., who obstructed the pre-planned election campaign of the representatives of the "Republic" party participating in the local self-government elections of the enlarged Vagharshapat community of Armavir province on November 16, 2025, in the Voskehat settlement.
Within the framework of the criminal proceedings initiated in the Investigative Committee, it was clarified that G.Gh., being a candidate on the electoral list of the "Republic" party participating in the local self-government elections of the enlarged Vagharshapat community of Armavir province on November 16, 2025, during the pre-election campaign period defined by the Electoral Code, on November 1, 2025, for the purpose of conducting a pre-election campaign in the prescribed manner, meeting with voters, as well as conducting a motorcade, arrived with a party supporter in the Voskehat settlement of the Vagharshapat community of Armavir province.
Around 14:00, H.N., a resident of G. Lusavorich Street in the Voskehat settlement, meeting G.Gh. near his house, learned that he was conducting a pre-election campaign, distributing printed campaign materials about the "Republic" party. H.N. also learned that the candidate of the above-mentioned party, H.M., was also to arrive in the Voskehat settlement for the purpose of conducting a pre-election campaign and meeting with voters. H.N., with the intention of obstructing the pre-election campaign, uttered insults and indecent expressions, demanding that G.Gh. leave, stating that the candidate of the "Republic" party, H.M., would not enter the Voskehat settlement.
During that time, H.N.'s father, G.N., hearing the conversation between G.Gh. and his son, approached them and uttered insults and indecent expressions addressed to G.Gh., also demanding that he leave.
Not wanting to argue with H.N. and G.N., and stopping the pre-election campaign, G.Gh. returned to the place where the pre-election campaign posters were being installed.
H.N. and G.N., continuing their actions aimed at achieving the final result, drove their cars around the pre-determined place for the "Republic" party's pre-election campaign to meet with voters, on Barekamutyan Street in the Voskehat settlement. G.N., getting out of the car, spoke with the people waiting to meet the candidate of the "Republic" party, after which the said people left.
On November 2, 2025, the prosecutor initiated public criminal prosecution against H.N. and G.N. under Article 211, Part 2, Point 5 of the Criminal Code (obstructing campaigning by a group of persons).
G.N. and H.N. are under arrest.
