Norway PM Visits Kyiv, Pledges to Help Supply Patriots

The Prime Minister of Norway visited Ukraine on his own birthday, August 25. Jonas Gahr Støre stated that the idea of first achieving a ceasefire and then signing a peace agreement originally belonged to the US, and he considers it reasonable.

The Prime Minister also announced that Norway will contribute to the supply of two "Patriot" systems, which it is co-financing. He emphasized that the main guarantee of Ukraine's security is the strengthening of its defense capabilities.

Zelenskyy singled out three key areas of cooperation with Norway:

air defense systems and training of military personnel to work with them,
joint production,
protection of the coastline and the sea, where Norway has significant experience.

According to Zelenskyy, it is in these areas that Ukraine expects the continuation of Oslo's active support.
