New Recreation Zone Planned for Hrazdan Gorge in Yerevan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, accompanied by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, visited the Hrazdan Gorge, where a project to create a multifunctional recreation zone on an area of 3480 square meters was presented. It covers the territory of the Arabkir administrative district.
It is planned that within the framework of the project, financed by the RA Government, children's and sports zones, an open-air cinema, will be built, landscaping work will be carried out, and unique architectural and landscape solutions will be provided. The head of the Arabkir administrative district, Suren Varosyan, noted that the project is already ready.
According to the project, the retaining walls will also be reconstructed, the two waterfalls on the river will be improved, and a bridge leading to the opposite sidewalk will be built. The reconstructed infrastructure will contribute to the restoration of the ecological condition of the area.
The goal of the project is to ensure modern and sustainable development based on the multi-layered heritage of the Hrazdan Gorge.
Next, the Prime Minister visited the open-air sports ground in the Hrazdan Gorge ("Bidzu Gyol"), where he got acquainted with the restoration work carried out. The swimming pool has been restored, a new changing room has been built, and the sports equipment of the sports ground has been renovated.
Those who train here expressed their gratitude for the created conditions and noted that the number of visitors to the sports ground has sharply increased recently.
