New Names Surface in Aishat Baymuradova Murder Case in Yerevan

The investigation into the murder of Aishat Baymuradova, who was evacuated from Chechnya and found dead in Yerevan, has revealed new details. Armenian police, through surveillance cameras, have identified two individuals who left the apartment where the young woman's body was found. This was reported by the "Oсторожно, новости" publication, citing its sources.
The information was also confirmed by the "SK SOS" crisis group. This is reported by "Azatutyun" radio station. According to the publication, on the alleged day of Baymuradova's death, October 19, her acquaintance Karina Iminova and 30-year-old Chechen native Said-Khamzat Baysarov left her apartment. The latter was prosecuted in Russia on charges of financing the "Islamic State" terrorist organization, but all charges against him were later dropped due to lack of evidence. In addition, other cases have been initiated against him for driving under the influence and robbery. Currently, neither Iminova nor Baysarov has been given the status of a suspect.
Human rights activists are paying special attention to the figure of Karina Iminova, whom Baymuradova met on Instagram and disappeared after going to meet her. The "Marem" crisis group reported that Iminova lied about her origins, visited Chechnya, met with other people who had left the republic, and may be connected to people in Kadyrov's circle.
Against this backdrop, there are growing fears that Iminova and Baysarov may have already left the territory of Armenia and returned to Russia. These concerns are also shared by Aishat's friends, who are planning a protest in Yerevan on November 4 to draw public attention to the investigation.
As a reminder, 20-year-old Aishat was married off by her father to a man 9 years her senior, whom she had seen only three times before the wedding. She divorced shortly after, having a young son. To escape domestic violence, the "CK SOS" and "Marem" human rights organizations evacuated Aishat to Yerevan on January 22, 2025. On October 15, friends reported her disappearance to the police, and a few days later her body was found in an apartment in Yerevan. Currently, forensic examinations have been ordered, the circumstances are being clarified, and a preliminary investigation is underway.
