New State-Appointed Lawyer Assigned to Ruben Vardanyan

During the next court session on the fabricated cases against Ruben Vardanyan, a new lawyer has been appointed. He is Emil Babishov, a member of the Azerbaijan Bar Association. According to Azerbaijani media, Ruben Vardanyan did not object to the appointment of that lawyer.

It should be recalled that Ruben Vardanyan had dismissed his defender, Abraham Berman. Through his family, Vardanyan had conveyed that it was a forced decision, as the court hearings had turned into an open farce, under which all procedural possibilities for defense have been exhausted.
