NATO: Threat from Russia Will Not End After the War
6 NOV 2025 11:26
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has made a strong statement, emphasizing that the danger emanating from Russia is long-term and not limited to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. According to him, Moscow will continue to be a destabilizing force in the foreseeable future, not only in Europe but throughout the world. "The threats we face are real and long-term. The Russian-Ukrainian military conflict is the most obvious example of that threat. But the danger from Russia will not disappear even after this war ends," Rutte noted.
He stressed that Russia is not alone in its attempts to undermine the foundations of the international order. According to the NATO chief, Moscow is actively cooperating with China, North Korea, Iran, and other countries, bringing interaction in the military-industrial sphere to an "unprecedented level."
In this context, Rutte called on the alliance's members to continue investing in defense and the most advanced technologies, emphasizing that this is the only way to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.
