A new, crucial phase has begun in the process of enhancing the combat capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and integrating them with NATO standards. The largest training center for Ukrainian military personnel, named "Camp Jomsborg," has been officially opened on the territory of Poland. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, emphasizing the strategic importance of the project.
The newly established center, located at one of the training grounds of the Polish Land Forces, is unprecedented in its scale. It is capable of simultaneously accommodating and training up to 1,200 military personnel, which allows for a significant acceleration and expansion of the process of preparing qualified personnel for the Ukrainian army. This initiative is one of the most important components of NATO's support to Ukraine and creates a solid foundation for long-term cooperation in the field of developing defense potential.
The center's activities have an international character from the outset. Already, 250 instructors from Norway are serving there, transferring their experience and knowledge to Ukrainian soldiers. It is expected that in the near future, they will be joined by military specialists from Estonia and other member countries of the North Atlantic Alliance. In fact, "Camp Jomsborg" is not just a training institution.
It is becoming a powerful platform for the exchange of experience and the strengthening of interoperability between the armed forces of Ukraine and NATO. The creation of this center indicates that support for Ukraine goes beyond the supply of weapons and finances, turning into deep institutional cooperation aimed at creating a modern, combat-ready, and fully NATO-compatible Ukrainian army.
