NASA to Nuke Giant Asteroid Hurtling Towards Earth

NASA is preparing to detonate a huge asteroid moving towards Earth with a nuclear charge. The YR4 asteroid, with a diameter of about 60 meters, has a 0.28% chance of colliding with Earth and a 4% chance of hitting the Moon.
In both cases, the consequences will be severe: if YR4 collides with Earth, the explosion will be 2000 times more powerful than the Hiroshima explosion. And if it hits the Moon, a huge emission of dust particles will be created, which will destroy all of Earth's artificial satellites, telescopes, and manned space stations.
Considering that asteroids are absolutely unpredictable, the probability of a catastrophe can increase at any moment.
The plan to destroy the asteroid with a nuclear charge is scheduled for 2029-2031.
