Murder in Charentsavan Church: Man Fatally Stabbed

In the Charentsavan church, a 26-year-old young man registered at a psychiatric hospital stabbed one of the relatives paying their last respects to the deceased, a 57-year-old man. The information circulating in the media has been confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

An ambulance crew transported 57-year-old Andranik Gh., a resident of Charentsavan, who had been stabbed, from near the church in Charentsavan to receive medical assistance, where he died, the ministry's statement said, adding that the information had been passed on to the Kotayk Regional Department of the Criminal Police, the Charentsavan Division of the Community Police, and the Patrol Service.
