Munich Airport has suspended operations for the second consecutive day due to drones. On the late evening of October 3, Germany's air traffic control service temporarily banned flights. As a result of the incident, 23 planes were rerouted to other airports, 12 flights were canceled, and 46 were delayed. Around 6,500 passengers were affected by the airport's suspension of work.
On the morning of October 4, the airport announced that flights are gradually resuming, but delays are possible throughout the day.
It should be recalled that this was the second case of Munich Airport suspending its operations in about 24 hours. In both cases, the cause was drones, and in both cases, according to official information, it was not possible to determine who the drones belonged to or for what purpose they had reached the airport territory.
